You’re a patient at Chenoweth. How long have you been with them?
I’m a brand-new patient. I go for my annual checkup, including an X-ray and full exam. I get contacts and glasses but only fill the contact prescription each time.
Why did you choose Chenoweth instead of a different clinic?
I transitioned to them from an eye doctor in Oklahoma City I’d been going to since college.
Now that I’m living in this area, I went looking for eye doctors on a map and saw that Chenoweth had at least four or four-and-a-half stars on Google. And I recognized the name, because Alison and I had worked together at a restaurant in college. So I was like, “Oh, that’s a good spot!”
What was your experience like from the front desk to the back the first time you went?
The experience was great. Wait time was normal. I got there a bit early, waited a few minutes, and was called back. They took my glasses to check the prescription, and we did tests like the air puff and the vision tunnel, then brought me to an exam room.
I saw another staff doctor, not Dr. Chenoweth. I discussed issues with my contacts in my left eye. I felt like I was actually being heard, unlike with my previous eye doctor. The doctor here listened and tried to understand what my needs were.
I learned there were daily, weekly, and monthly contact options, and we tested a monthly pair, which I thought was fine. But they had me wait, and I’m glad, because when we turned on the larger light, I realized, “Oh, I can’t really see out of this.” So they adjusted the prescription and got me another monthly, and that worked out perfectly.
They ordered a couple of samples of each style of the daily, weekly, and monthly, so I was able to try them all out. So right out of the gate, I had a month or a month and a half of trials so I could figure out which one I wanted.
The checkout process was smooth. I got small solution bottles and contact cases, and my contact order arrived in about a week or two.
