Meet Dr. Chenoweth
Dr. Chris Chenoweth, OD, is one of Oklahoma’s most experienced eye care and laser eye surgery experts. He has performed thousands of laser procedures since he started his practice in 1995, and has helped thousands of patients with dry eyes.
Dr. Chenoweth is an honors graduate of the University of Central Oklahoma and the Northeastern State University College of Optometry, and is a former Assistant Adjunct Clinical Professor at Pacific University in Forrest Grove, OR.
He is an active member of both the Oklahoma and American Optometric Associations, and is trained in the diagnosis and treatment of ocular disease. He is also on the Regional Board of Directors for Integris Health System.

Is LASEK safe?
LASEK is extremely safe. As a non-cutting procedure, it has much fewer complications in general. In fact, LASEK is actually safer than wearing contact lenses.
What's the healing time with LASEK?
Many patients will see 20/20 the next day with this procedure, but you will have some fluctuated vision for about a week.
But once you get past the first week, it’s really quite clear for a long time to come.
Am I a good candidate for LASEK?
Almost everyone is a good candidate for this. There’s a very few people that are interested in LASEK that cannot get it done.
Some people who want to have LASIK done can’t have it done because their corneas may be too thin, but the LASEK procedure can actually work on thin corneas as well.
So more patients will qualify for LASEK versus the LASIK procedure.
