IPL Case Study: “One Treatment Was So Good I Was Satisfied”

Jonathan Cox had an unsightly dark spot that had begun appearing on his face, so he went to Dr. Chenoweth to see what, if anything, could be done to fix it.

Tell us why you went to see Dr. Chenoweth.

I went in to see Dr. Chenoweth because I had a dark spot that was beginning to appear here on my face. And, I’m out networking and out in the public fairly often, so I just was feeling a little bit self-conscious about it.

I knew that Dr. Chenoweth offered this service, so I figured I’d give it a try. Why not?

How did you feel, going into the office?

I just felt completely at home and at ease. The office was clean and beautiful and the staff was very welcoming.

Dr. Chenoweth has a demeanor that just puts you at ease and makes you comfortable, and he’s very knowledgeable about everything that he does. And so he was able to explain the service to me in great detail and answer all of my questions.

How was the procedure?

The procedure itself was a lot simpler than I thought it would be.

So basically they just put you in a chair and put glasses on you. And there’s this machine that they use that just emits a strong light. The way that he explained it, as far as how it feels, is that it’s like if somebody took a rubber band and stretched it and just barely snapped it against your skin.

And that’s what it was. I mean, it was almost an instant thing and really was not unpleasant at all. In fact, it was over so quickly that I was surprised that he had even completed the procedure.

When did you start to see results?

So shortly after that, in the days to follow, I noticed that the dark spot really began to diminish very quickly. And Dr. Chenoweth explained that when they hit the dark spot with the light that comes out of the machine, it begins to break that up over time and over a few days it starts to fade.

He said it might take more than one treatment, but in my case, the results after one treatment were so good that I was satisfied with it.
